I am a registered clinical psychologist based in Hatfield, Pretoria. I obtained my qualifications through the University of Pretoria where I completed my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with distinction.
As a psychodynamic therapist, I aim to help you grow by examining not only your current struggles but how they are anchored in the unconscious dynamics, patterns, and conflicts that guide how you shape your life.
My personal philosophy is rooted in the phrase umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu ('a person is a person through other persons'). I believe that we have all been shaped by our relationships, and that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful mechanism for changing who you are.
My clinical perspective has been formed not only by my therapeutic experience but also by extensive work in forensic settings, where understanding complex human behaviour is essential.
Over the course of my training, I have worked at 1 Military Hospital, Fort Napier Psychiatric Hospital, Town Hill Psychiatric Hospital, and Helderstroom Medium and Maximum Correctional Centre.
Working at these institutions has brought me in close contact with a wide variety of psychological assessments, including neuropsychological and violence risk assessments.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexity underlying each person's functioning, guiding my approach to every client and assessment.
